CELEBRATE JULY 4th WITH VERTICAL HORIZON

Celebrate the 4th of July at Mandalay Bay Beach with Vertical Horizon and MIX 94.1-FM! Mandalay Bay Beach offers one of the most unique outdoor concert stages in the country, set amidst the world-famous resort’s 11-acre beach and lagoon.

From Vertical Horizon’s early beginnings playing coffeehouses in Washington, D.C., the band has continuously stretched itself both musically and otherwise. As Georgetown University undergrads, Keith Kane and Matt Scannell discovered kindred musical spirits in one another and solidified their line-up with drummer Ed Toth and bassist Sean Hurley, and signed with RCA in 1998. Their double-platinum-selling album, Everything You Want, yielded four singles including “We Are,” “You’re a God,” “Best I Ever Had” and the title track “Everything You Want,” which won a Radio Music Award and two Billboard Music Awards while the band earned a Billboard Music Video Award for Best New Artist Modern Rock Video for “You’re a God.” Their most recent album, GO, offers a sublime unity of thought and melody. Tracks like “Forever” and “Inside,” with their resonant string sections, take Vertical Horizon to previously unexplored musical terrain.

Tickets are priced at $35, not including applicable taxes and service charges. A pre-concert barbeque at Border Grill begins at 6 p.m. for an additional charge and includes great food, drink specials and prize giveaways. The concert is scheduled to begin at 9 p.m. and is followed by a fireworks show at 10:30 p.m. To charge by phone, call the Mandalay Bay Box Office at 702-632-7580 or Ticketmaster at 702-474-4000, or visit www.mandalaybay.com or www.ticketmaster.com to purchase online.

KATT WILLIAMS PERFORMING AT THE PEARL

Comedian Katt Williams brings his quick witted antics to The Pearl at the Palms on Friday, July 4 and Saturday, July 5 as part of the It’s Pimpin’, Pimpin’ Tour.

Williams is recognized as one of the hottest comedians in the country today making his mark in stand-up, as well as on the big screen. In 2008, Williams appears in the major motion picture First Sunday alongside Ice Cube and Tracy Morgan, in addition to traveling across the U.S. with the launch of the It’s Pimpin’, Pimpin’ Tour. Last year, Williams’ Pimp Chronicles Tour was the second highest grossing comedy act in the country, as he sold out theaters in each major market. Williams was also asked to perform at Radio City Music Hall, a feat only a short list of comedians has accomplished, selling out two consecutive days at the historic venue.

Tickets are $65 and $85, plus any additional service fees. Please visit any Ticketmaster location, call 702-474-4000 or visit www.ticketmaster.com to purchase tickets. The Pearl Box Office is open from noon – 7 p.m. daily. Doors open at 9 p.m. and show time is at 10 p.m.
