THE RIVER WILD: Hualapai River Runners

Submitted by on May 26, 2011 – 10:02 am3 Comments

Get set for a wet-and-wild adventure as the HUALAPAI RIVER RUNNERS opens its 2011 season. This year marks the 38th anniversary of the one-day whitewater rafting trip through the Grand Canyon. As always, the guides have been training for weeks in preparation for the season. All 27 certified guides are Native American, the majority of which are Hualapai tribal members.

The trip departs at 8 a.m., from the Hualapai Lodge, on Historic Route 66 in Peach Springs, Arizona. Open through October 31. Trips run seven days a week, but seats are limited. For reservations or more information, call Hualapai Tourism, 1-888-868-9378.
